For the purposes of the course we worked with Disney plus as an archive. As disney movies stopped being available in other platforms, Disney plus really took the form of an archive as movies from the start of the industry to the latest releases have all been collected there.

The message above, appears in the start of some older Disney productions. We see disney further reflecting on their archives and re-examining the older films and the misleading messages that they might have promoted.

Our process of choosing the movies was subjective and thus the conclusion might have been different if other examples were used, however by dividing the timeline into 3 parts we tried to keep the progression we show as natural as possible.

When using Disney+ as an archive, the ethics of the platform must be considered. It is very inaccessible due to its high, still increasing costs. Additionally it has monopolised the access to any projects produced by Disney, which also has negative implications.
